Marri Vs Marvi: Winner takes none

There was a verbal ruckus during the Sindh assembly session on Tuesday.

When Pakistan Peoples Party's provincial Information Minister Shazia Marri and Pakistan Muslim League's (F) Marvi Rashdi used harsh words against each other.

During the assembly Marri said to Rashdi that she did not know how to speak English and Marri also added that Rashdi has a habit of screaming in all the sessions.

While Rashdi criticized Marri for wearing too much make up. Marvi Rashdi also said that women like Marri do face painting by putting a lot of make up on her face just to intimidate others.

Speaker of Sindh Assembly Nisar Khoro expressed his anger over Marri’s remarks and told her that she could not speak directly to any member in the assembly.

Rashdi presented a resolution in the assembly saying that the identitified cards of orphans should have the names of their step parents in a separate section and it’s implying that the children adopted.

The original reason of this dispute among the two is yet unknown,. Even thou, emotions and anger were real, the basis of such conflict didn’t seem right.

Similar incidents have been occurring in the National Assembly on the topic of Baloch killings and kidnappings.

As these high level political ladies display their true self in the heat of the moment by fighting and arguing, some say that this effort is four years too late.
