A PPP candidate in by-elections Waheeda Shah in her statement before the Returning Officer here on Monday said that the incident taken place at the polling station was unintentional.

She along with her counsel appeared before the Returning Officer for by-election in the provincial constituency PS- 53 Tando Muhammad Khan, Ali Ashgar in connection with the summary trial in the case registered against her.

In her statement, Waheeda Shah said that the concerned polling officer has forgiven her as the incident was outcome of some misunderstanding. She also produced some documentary evidence in the case.

Waheeda Shah, a candidate of Pakistan People Party on the provincial assembly seat is facing charges of assault on polling staff during the polling.
