International Tennis Federation (ITF) committee has decided that the Davis Cup tie between Pakistan and Philippines will be held in the Philippines instead of Pakistan due to security concerns.

Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has put its best efforts to convince the ITF to shift the tie in Pakistan and also assured them that foolproof security arrangements will be provided to the visiting team, says a press release issued here.

In this regard, Haroon Sharif, senior vice-president PTF also met with ITF president and Davis Cup members but unfortunately the security consultant of ITF did not submit a positive report on the security issues in Pakistan.

A training camp will also be held for the said event after confirmation from the Philippines Tennis Association.
