Commission directs to conclude cross examination of Mansoor’s testimony on Friday

The Judicial Commission probing the Memo issue on Thursday directed all the petitioners except Zahid Hussain Bokhari, counsel for Hussain Haqqani to conclude their cross examination of Mansoor's testimony till Friday.

The commission headed by Balochistan High Court Chief Justice Qazi Faez Issa and comprising Islamabad High Court (IHC) Chief Justice Iqbal Hameed-ur-Rehman and Sindh High Court Chief Justice Musheer Alam conducted hearing at Islamabad High Court.

During the cross examination, Mansoor Ijaz told the commission that neither he would provide any information against the interest of United States nor he could inform it about the source who had conveyed him sensitive documents regarding the Memo.

Barrister Zafrullah completed cross examination of Mansoor's testimony, however Mustafa Ramady counsel for Mian Nawaz Sharif and Salahudin Mengal counsel for other PML-N Leaders would continue till Friday. It is pertinent to mention here that Mansoor Ijaz on February 24 completed his testimony with regard to the origin, authenticity and purpose of Memo.
