Balochistan: Senate polls provokes huge last minute deals

Balochistan is distinctly far ahead in the senate polls and when it comes to wheeling and dealing of seats when the price for a single vote reached as high as up to Rs 65 crore.

After being assured of funds,  PML-Q MNA announced his support towards the Pakistan People's Party from Lasbela.

Balochistan sees the highest amounts of wheeling and dealing in this year's senate polls. Pakistan Muslim League (Q) candidate Pir Qadir Gilani who belongs from Lasbela announced his support for the PPP in the senate polls after agreeing to a last minute deal of Rs 65 crore worth of funds.

Addressing a press conference at his residence along with Peoples Party's provincial president Mir Sadiq Umrani, Pir Abdul Qadir Gilani said that his decision to accept the funds came because of the people of his locality.

He said that his constituency has been ignored for over four years nowand that the coalition with PPP will continue after the senate elections.
