APHC accepts invitation for Pakistan visit

All Parties Hurriyet Conference has said that it has accepted the Pakistan government's invitation to visit the country.

The APHC spokesman in a statement issued in Indian occupied Srinagar said that the Pakistan High Commissioner in New Delhi, Shahid Malik, on behalf of the Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Hina Rabbani Khar, has invited the Executive Council of Hurriyet Conference to visit Pakistan, KMS reported.

He said that the High Commissioner extended the invitation during a meeting with the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and senior APHC leaders, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, and Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi in New Delhi on Thursday.

"We received an invitation letter from Pak High Commissioner and we have instantly accepted it," Mirwaiz Umar Farooq told media men.

The APHC statement said that the itenary for the visit would be announced after mutual consultation between the Pakistan government and Hurriyet leadership. It stated that the Hurriyet delegation would discuss all the important issues including Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) during the visit.

Earlier, the Mirwaiz-led delegation during the meeting with Shahid Malik stressed that the inclusion of Kashmiri pro-freedom leadership was a must for the success of any dialogue process on the IoK dispute.

"The sacrifices offered by Kashmiris and the suffering faced by them during the past over six decades demand that the settlement of IoK issue should be given priority over other issues, and a meaningful dialogue process should be initiated in this regard," the statement quoted the Hurriyet leaders as having said.

"Pakistan High Commissioner assured the Hurriyet leaders that Pakistan will not only continue its diplomatic, political and moral support to the Kashmiris' movement, but will also ensure that Kashmir remains on top of the agenda of any dialogue process with India," the statement added.
