Zardari wanted to get rid of Amin Fahim: Javed Hashmi

Talking to media flanked by Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Hashmi revealed that Asif Ali Zardari had asked N-League leader Khuwaha Muhammad Asif to give a statement that his party would not accept PPP leader Amin Fahim as a candidate for prime minister. “Zardari requested Khuwaja Asif to help him get rid of Amin Fahim,” the veteran politician said.

PTI leader Javed Hashmi has claimed that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz chief Nawaz Sharif had opposed him as presidential candidate against PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, local media reported today.

He claimed that all the political parties had assured him their support.

Speaking on the occasion, PTI vice-chairman Shah Mahmud Qureshi said that the US Congress resolution on Balochistan was a trap against Pakistan and if government did not take it serious it would be responsible for the consequences.

Qureshi said that today every Pakistani was concerned regarding the defence of the country and people thought that security of the country was at the stake. “People believe that PTI will bring a change in the society,” he added.
