NA passes resolution condemning US interference in internal affairs of Pakistan
The National Assembly on Monday unanimously passed a resolution strongly condemning US congressional committee hearing on Balochistan issue.
The resolution calls upon the government to convey to US authorities that such hearing on internal situation of Pakistan was totally unacceptable.
PPP Chief Whip Khurshid Shah supporting the resolution said Balochistan is our internal issue and the parliament should convey unanimous message in this connection. The resolution moved by Leader of Opposition Chaudhry Nasir Ali Khan strongly condemned interference into internal affairs of Pakistan by congressional sub-committee by holding a discussion on Balochistan situation.
Nisar said that Congressional committee hearing on Pakistan’s internal issue is a very sensitive issue and no sovereign country allows such interference.
He said all resolution of the parliament should be implemented in its true spirit and drone attacks be stopped immediately. Leader of the Opposition questioned US congressional committee did not take up violations on human rights issue during nine years rule of General Musharraf.
He suggested that Congressional committee should hold hearing on human rights violations in Afghanistan and occupied Kashmir.
He said the government should immediately start dialogue with disgruntle Baloch people and resolve their problems on priority basis.
