President Asif Ali Zardari while congratulating the Parliament and all the political parties for adopting women related legislations unanimously has stated that Pakistan women, who are on the road to progress and emancipation, are destined to succeed.“On this occasion, I wish to congratulate the Parliament and all the political parties for demonstrating wisdom and commitment to uphold the rights of women by adopting women related legislations unanimously”, the President said in his message on the occasion of National Women Day being commemorated on February 12 today.

“On this day, I wish to congratulate all the women of Pakistan especially those who have struggled hard for the rights of women”, he said and added, “I also wish to pay special tribute to those who have waged a relentless struggle for the rights of women culminating in the adoption of some far-reaching legislations to protect and empower the women.”
