Nisar hopes progress on 20th amendment by tomorrow
Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday hoped that there would be headway in the talks being held to achieve a consensus on the 20th amendment of the Constitution by tomorrow.
Talking to media, he said no progress was made on the matter during negotiations today. The PML-N reiterated its stance during today's negotiations.
He opined that a chief election commissioner could not be granted extension in office term under the Constitution. He said his party wanted an independent caretaker set up for holding of free and transparent general elections in the country.
