A three-day first nationwide anti-polio vaccination campaign of the year 2012 started on Monday to administer drops to children under age of five years throughout the country.

Programme Manager, National polio eradication Programme, Dr Altaf Bosan said that a total of 76,587 trained door to door vaccination teams, out of which 5184 trained transit teams would administer polio drops at markets, bus terminals etc. and 9723 fixed points trained vaccination teams would target approximately 33.4 million children.
