Cold, dry weather likely to prevail in most areas of country
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Saturday forecast cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country with light rain and snowfall over the hills at few places in Kashmir and adjoining area at night.
According to Met Office, continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. A fresh westerly trough is likely to affect western parts of Balochistan from Sunday night.
Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in Islamabad, most parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and Balochistan during next 24 hours.
In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, mostly cloudy weather with chances of isolated light rain and light snowfall over the hills is expected.
The lowest minimum temperature recorded on Saturday at Kalam was -15C Parachinar -11 C, Kalat -9 C, Hunza -8C, Astore and Skardu -7C.
Minimum temperatures were: Islamabad 1C, Lahore 4C, Quetta -4C, Karachi 11C, Peshawar 3C, Muzaffarabad 2C, Gilgit -3C, Murree -3C, Multan 6C and Faisalabad 2C.
