APTMA stage protest against electricity loadshedding

All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) staged a protest against the loadshedding of electricity and unlimited shutdown of natural gas.

A large number of workers and textile mills owners participated in the protest held at Manag By-pass road here on Wednesday. The protesters were carrying banners and placards inscribed with statements demanding end of gas and electricity loadshedding. They closed the road for some time.

APTMA Patron in-chief Gohar Ijaz, Chairman Mohson Aziz and Chairman Punjab Zone Ahsan Basheer said that thousands of labourers would be rendered jobless if loadshedding of gas and electricity was not end. They said that exports in textile sector worth billions of rupees were also effecting due to loadshedding.

They demanded the authority to take steps to meet the shortage of gas and electricity in the country and save the industry from a total collapse.
