Govt providing maximum facilities to boost business activities: Malik
Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has said that government is providing maximum facilities to the business community for boosting economic activities in the country.
This he said while addressing the inaugural of Fast Track counter for immigration and other related services for business community and foreign exchange remittances card holders here at Quaid-e-Azam international Airport on Monday.
The minister said that on the directives of President Asif Ali Zardari, he is in close contact with representatives of FPCCI and other associations of business community.
He said he holds monthly meetings with representatives of businessmen and traders of the country and a number of measures have been taken as the outcome of the meetings to improve economic activities.
The minister said that he has had various meetings with the businessmen of Karachi, as a result of which their complaints regarding law and order and 'bhata' have been resolved and now they are doing business in a better atmosphere.
In future also, he will be in close contact with them, he assured.
He said special measures have been taken to facilitate the foreign investors so that they could invest in Pakistan without any fear.
He said that the government has taken various measures to provide facilities to passengers at airports.
He said 'on arrival visa' facility has been made available for the visitors of various countries so that they could not face any difficulty in visiting Pakistan.
Rehman Malik said that he has directed the immigration officials to make simple procedure for 'on arrival visa' with the coordination of Customs and FPCCI representatives.
The leaders of business community including Senator Abdul Haseeb, former Presidents FPCCI Tariq Saeed and S.M. Muneer were also present on the occasion.
