Hazara Division generating around Rs 115 bn revenue annually: Farooq Sattar
Deputy Convener Rabita Committee Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Dr Farooq Sattar has said that Hazara Division generates around Rs 115 billion revenue annually but unfortunately receives Rs 300 million.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, he said just division of resources was imperative to overcome price hike, unemployment and poverty.
Farooq Sattar said MQM will submit 20th constitutional amendment bill in the Parliament for the creation of Hazara and Southern Punjab provinces.
He said all political parities should come forward to support creation of new provinces for better administrative control.
Dr Sattar said that MQM would also submit resolutions in the National Assembly and the Senate seeking autonomy for tribal areas of the country with a view to ending the sense of deprivation among the tribal people.
He added that consultations were underway on the draft of the 20th constitutional amendment to be presented to the Parliament.
The MQM leader said that creation of a new province in Southern Punjab and Hazara province is the need of the hour and essential for political and economic stability of the country.
