The Paramount Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox and Lightstorm Entertainment announce that James Cameron’s Titanic will be re-released worldwide on April 6, 2012. The release, which marks the 100th year of Titanic setting sail (April 10) will present the film in 3D for the first time.

Written, directed and produced by Cameron, Titanic is the second highest grossing movie of all time. It is one of only three films to have received a record of 11 Academy awards including Best Picture and Best Director; and launched the careers of Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.

“There’s a whole generation that has never seen Titanic as it was meant to be seen on the big screen. And this will be Titanic as you’ve never seen it before." said Cameron.
