Quran reciting pen launched in Kashmir

Feroz Khan, a technocrat-entrepreneur and importer of Srinagar, has launched a computerised pen that can recite the passages from the Holy Quran.

This unique pen, which has been launched to promote the habit of reading Quran, was unveiled at an austere event hosted by Techno Help, a consultancy firm owned by Feroz Khan on Friday.

With the help of this pen, one can get the exact Arabic pronouncement and translation of words that are used in Quran.

The pen laced with powerful sensors would recite the entire text of Quran if pointed towards a page of specially coded copy of Quran.

The pen is also equipped with a unique technology that scans and pronounces verses from the Holy Book.

Khan said this pen would be very helpful for those wishing to acquire more knowledge of Islam and its teachings.

"With the help of this, one can read and understand the teachings of Quran. People know to read Arabic but do not know its translation and the meaning of the Ayaat (commandment). So, with the help of this pen, you will get the translation of Quran in Urdu or English.

As per your convenience you can understand each and everything. There could be no better option to understand Islam than this scanner pen," he added.

People have appreciated the initiative made by Khan and said this would mainly attract youngsters because of its many features.

"Whenever they (youngsters) get free time, they could read Quran and other prayers that are given in this. And they could even record the prayers in MP3. The pen has been made very compatible according to today's life-style," said Eijaz Ahmad.
