Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s most ambitious project ‘Taalismaan’, which is based on celebrated Hindi author Devaki Nandan Khatri`s ‘Chandrakanta’ has been shelved.

Starring none other than Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, ‘Taalismaan’ was to be directed by Ram Madhvani and was scheduled to go on floor this year.

Apparently, a teaser of the film featuring Big B in a battle-field was cut a year ago.

It is believed that the film is on hold because of a weak script. However, insiders believe that Chopra`s epic vision fell short when it came to finances.
