Karachi violence death toll rises to 19

At least nineteen people were killed and several injured in separate firing incidents in various parts of Karachi during the last 24 hours, sending the affected areas in a grip of tension over the fresh wave of killings in the metropolis.

According to details, eight people were wounded when unknown armed men opened fire on a passenger bus. The wounded people were shifted to hospital.

In Banaras, unknown pillion riders opened fire at a hotel near metro cinema, killing three people and eight injured.

Ghulam Hyder, 33, was shot dead in Lasi Goath, area of New Karachi. Two women were killed when unidentified gunmen opened fire at a house in Landhi.

Similar shooting incidents took place in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, New Karachi, Landhi, Qasba Colony, Garden and Husainabad areas.

Meanwhile, miscreants set a mini bus and rickshaw on fire, destroying it completely.

Thirteen people were killed in separate incidents of violence and shootings in Karachi on Tuesday.
