The death toll from a US drone strike in North Waziristan has reached at 44 on Friday.

The US spy plane targeted a compound where the jirga was underway on Thursday. The drone fired six missiles at a house in Datta Khel town of Miranshah, the main town in North Waziristan.

Locals have recovered 44 dead bodies from the debris of house. All the dead were locals while fifteen people injured. More than 15 people were laid to rest while the funeral prayers of others will be offered today.
