Nine killed in fog-related accidents
At least nine people were killed and forty seven injured in separate fog-related traffic accidents in Punjab and Balochistan on Monday morning.
The moderate/dense foggy conditions in Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh are likely to continue for next 4-5 days disrupting routine life and annoying travellers.
The ongoing spell of dense fog and freezing weather conditions continued to disturb the scheduled arrival and departure of trains across the country.
A large portion of the country is in the grip of severe fog, which continues to paralyze the routine life.
At least three people have lost their lives when a car collided with a bus and tractor trolley coming from opposite side in Kashmor. Eleven people were injured in the accident. The injured were taken to a hospital.
A Two years old boy died due to cold weather in Thar. In Sibi, four people were died in traffic accidents. The accidents took place in Bakhtyarabad area of Sibi. Seven people were also injured in the accident.
Similarly, a police constable was killed as passenger bus collided with police van due to fog in Faisalabad.
Traffic in many parts of the country has been affected by early morning fog.
