Rally to protect blasphemy law in Karachi
A big Tahaffuz Namoos-e-Risalat march on Sunday held in Karachi against conspiracies to repeal the blasphemy law.
JUI-F chief Maulana Fazalul Rehman, Munawwar Hasan, Abu-al-kher and many leaders of religious parties will address to the gathering at old Numaish Chowrangi where thousands of people have gathered.
Leaders of religious and political parties stressed that the masses should participate in the rally, adding that defending the honour of the Holy Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is not only the responsibility of the political and religious parties, but every Muslim is bound in this regard.
All Pakistan Organisation of Small Traders and Cottages Industries had announced full support to the ‘march’.
Security has been beefed up and heavy police contingent have been deployed.
Earlier, leaders of Tahaffuz Namoos-e-Rislat met with the citizens, traders, transporters and people belonging to various walks of life in different parts of the city and distributed handbills and pamphlets among them.
