Pakistan Muslim League Q (PML-Q) on Monday assured its support to the prime minister. PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujat said his party will continue its support to PM Gilani but government should also take some measures to resolve public grievances.

The Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani met PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujat along with Pervaiz Elahi in Lahore.

After the meeting, talking to media, Chaudhry Shujat said that his party would continue to support Yousuf Raza Gilani in the prevailing political situation for continuity of democracy and strengthening of democratic institutions in the country.

PM Gilani said that PML-Q had supported us in every issue. He said that Chaduhry Shujat will hold a meeting in which he discuss the political situation with party leaders. He said that PML-Q supported the prime minister in the past.

Earlier, PM Gilani telephoned PML-Q chief and sought cooperation in the National Assembly.
