Balochistan Assembly condemns attack on CM
The legislators of the Balochistan Assembly during Friday session passed an amended criminal procedure code bill and two resolutions on CSS issue and attacks on Governor and Chief Minister of Balochistan respectively.
The assembly sitting started with Speaker Muhammad Aslam Bhootani in chair. A number of ministers and MPAs were on leave. The question-hour was stood disposed off as the mover MPA Rubina Irfan was not present in the house.
Minister for Prosecution Ms Rahila Durrani moved the resolution which reads that yet 14 candidates out of total 34 from Balochistan who had passed CSS exams have to get posting.
The resolution recommended to the provincial government to approach the federal government to seek posting of the 14 remaining candidates following accommodation like that 12th Common Batch in Gen. Ziaul Haq regime besides ensuring posting on vacant seats in Balochistan Police.
Delivering speech on her resolution, she said Balochistan was not given adequate quota in federal government jobs adding that candidates from Balochistan who had passed CSS exams were not being accommodated on federal seats.
Minister for Revenue Eng. Zamarak Khan demanded to double Balochistan quota for federal government jobs.
Ministers Ahsan Shah and Abdur Rehman demanded immediately posting of the candidates who had passed CSS exams.
Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani said that he would take the CSS issue up to the Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani soon.
Minister for Irrigation Sardar Aslam Bezinjo on behalf of Home Minister, tabled Criminal Procedure Code 1898 (Balochistan Amendment) which was passed into law unanimously.
Lawmaker Zahore Buledi termed the attacks on Governor and CM of Balochistan a part of planned conspiracy to push Balochistan to tribal war.
He said that no peace could be secured in the province until the sense of deprivation amongst Baloch youths was removed.
