Proteas 386-7 v Pakistan – second test – lunch
South Africa had made 386 for seven at lunch on the second day of the second test against Pakistan at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.
AB de Villiers, who raced to 163 not out off 313 balls, and DW Steyn (0 not out) had steadied South Africa’s innings. Pakistan pacer Tanvir Ahmad bowled 5 batsmen.
South Africa reached 311 for five wickets at the close on the first day. Jacques Kallis and AB de Villiers both hit tons as South Africa recovered from a poor start to take control.
