Teamwork is the key to success, says Sana
Pakistan women's cricket team skipper Sana Mir has said that achievement of gold medal in Asian Games is the result of teamwork.
Four players and coach Mansoor Rana when landed at Lahore airport, Chairperson of PCB Women Cricket Wing Bushra Aitzaz, cricket officials, their families and friends turned up to welcome them.
They were garlanded, showered with rose petals and greeted with slogans of "Zindabad" and "Chak de Pakistan" as the cricketers came out of the airport terminal building. Young boys and girls danced to popular numbers to celebrate the gold medal.
Talking to media, team captain Sana Mir said that the team is very grateful to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for given this opportunity.
"If people encourage us, we will get more success in the game", said Sana.
She said that whether the competition was from Bangladesh or India, we had to win the game.
Bushra Aitzaz urged the Prime Minister to announce prizes for the winners.
The Asian Games gold-winning Pakistan women's cricket team returned home from China to a rousing reception from the fans at the Karachi airport last night.
The gold won by the women's team after beating Bangladesh in the final by 10 wickets was the first yellow metal for Pakistan in the Asian Games.
