Indian filmmaker Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri has selected Pakistani Cricketer Mohammad Hafeez for his Malayalam film 'Mazhavillinnatamvare'.

According to IANS, All rounder Mohammad Hafeez will play lead role in the film. While former India captain Kapil Dev and actor Suniel Shetty will also act in the movie.

Damodaran Namboothiri will not only direct the film, but has also penned the story, script, dialogues and songs for the movie.

The story of the movie is based on cricket. So, the lead character is a Mohammad Hafeez who arrives as a bowling coach at a cricket academy in the state searching for his roots.

Hafeez and Suniel have major roles, while Kapil Dev will make a guest appearance.

“We are working out a marketing arrangement for our film in such a manner that it would have a world wide release on the same day,” said Namboothiri.
