Abida Parveen prefers Sufism on Bollywood

Renowned Sufi Singer Abida Parveen said that she has been getting many offers from Bollywood for singing but this is not the right time to debut in Indian Film Industry.

Talking to Indian news agency in telephonic interview, Sufi singer Abida said that She keep on getting offers from Yash Chopra, Subhash Ghai and many others to sing in their films. But she has engrossed herself in Sufi music.

It's a time-consuming thing to spread the message of Sufism and that is why I have not got enough time to say yes to any of the film offers till now," she said.

Abida Parveen said that the taste and touch of Sufi music started coming in Bollywood through her songs, mainly 'Thaiyyan thaiyyan', which was converted into 'Chaiyyan chaiyyan' in movie Dilse."

"Music is a very good way of spreading love and peace between India and Pakistan. Music is the gift of God and it always helps in connecting and bringing people together," said the singer.
