Police has arrested a notorious drug dealer with two others from Chaneser Goath in Karachi late Thursday.

Mehmoodabad Police raided on a tip at Chaneser Goath and arrested notorious drug dealer Ashok and his two associates. Police had shifted them to unidentified place.

Meanwhile, residents of the area condemned the arrest of Ashok and held a protest demonstration against police.

A policeman Shoaib was injured when an identified person in the protesters opened unprovoked fire which prompted the police to arrest two more persons identified as Javed and Gulabi during the search operation in Chaneser Goath.

According to SSP Jamshed Town Aamir Farooqi, amrs, ammunition, 2kg drugs and wine bottles were also recovered during the search operation.
