MQM mourns on Sher Shah assault in Karachi
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is observing a day of mourning in protest against yesterday’s assault on scrap market in Sher Shah.
Public transport remains off the roads and businesses shut.
Traders and transport association has also supported the protest call. Petrol pumps closed in the metropolis.
Private schools are closed while the University of Karachi, Urdu University and Dow Medical University cancelled all examination being held today.
Police and Rangers increase patrol in different areas.
On Tuesday, unidentified pillion riders opened indiscriminate fire in Sher Shah scrap market, leaving 13 people dead and several injured.
