Pakistan Boxing team is not participating in the Friendly Quadrilateral Tournament that was scheduled to be held at Abadan, Iran from October 17-21.

"As the 16th Asian Games that are to be held in Guangzhou, China from November 14-27 are ahead and we want our players to do well in the event that is why we did not send our team to Iran," a Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) official told APP here on Monday.

"The training camp for the Asian Games has started from October 18th at the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad," he added.

However boxers Muhammad Waseem and Haroon Shahid Iqbal Khan clinched two bronze medals in the Commonwealth Games in -49 Kg and 52 Kg.
