PS-94: Polling ends
Voting for the by-election at PS-94 in Orangi Town area of Karachi ended here after polling continued without any interruption at all the polling stations here on Sunday.
Strict security arrangement has been made on the 86 polling stations in the respective area. Under section 144 of Cr.PC has been imposed in the city as part of security measures.
On the other hand, Sindh government had removed two-year long ban on pillion riding.
Those contesting the by-poll are: Saifuddin Khalid (MQM), and three independent candidates Zeenat Yasmeen, Abdul Haq and Masood Alam.
The ANP Sindh President Shahi Sayed had announced last night that they were boycotting the by-election. The ANP had fielded Riaz Gul to fight the by-poll in Orangi constituency.
It is worth mentioning here that PS-94 seat became vacated after the killing incident of MQM provincial assembly member Raza Hayder.
