The mother of suspected suicide bomber Ishtiaq Zafar, who attacked the Shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi, was taken into police custody here on Tuesday night.

A woman, Munawara Bibi from Daska contacted AAJ News and claimed that the suspected bomber Ishtiaq was her son. She said that Ishtiaq was addicted to drugs for the last three years and he was missing since last month.

Munawara Bibi said that she recognized her son by the footage of the attacker on TV channels.

After identifying Ishtiaq, his father Zafarullah and brother Imran escaped from home.
