Former President of Pakistan Pervez Musharraf said that the promulgation of National Reconciliation Order (NRO) was the biggest mistake and the clash with the judiciary made him unpopular.

In an interview to the Indian channel, Musharraf said that Pakistan and India were close to resolution of Kashmir conflict.

“We were as close as drafting a final pact for a solution. Final drafts were exchanged through the back channel and Manmohan Singh agreed with my four-point formula,” he said.

Musharraf said that the Kashmiris were fighting against Indian Army for their rights whereas the Indian forces killed civilians. He said,”One man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter.”
