A senior militant commander, identified as Noor Hussain, was killed in a gun battle with security forces in Indian held Kashmir on Saturday, officials said. The encounter occurred in a forest region in the Doda district, some 180 km north-east of Jammu, state police said. "The militant belonged to the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), which is among the biggest liberation outfits operating in the state," a local police officer said.
