Amitabh's office attacked in Mumbai
The Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited office in suburban Juhu in Mumbai was attacked by some unidentified persons on Friday-Saturday night.
The attackers came in a grey-coloured Santro car and threw a few stones and bottles before making their escape good.
However, Deputy Commissioner of Police Vinay Choubey said that a bottle was thrown at the office.
"We have received a call that a bottle was thrown at the Janak bungalow and police officers have been sent to the spot to verify the facts," Choubey was quoted as saying.
Samajawadi party leader and Amitabh's close friend Amar Singh was quick to point out that Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray was behind the attack.
The incident came in the wake of reports about a similar episode at the Bachchans' residence Pratikhsa during the MNS-led campaign against north Indian migrants early in February.
MNS chief Raj Thackeray had said that Amitabh had done little for Mumbai and Maharashtra despite earning fame and money there and was more loyal to his home state Uttar Pradesh.
