Security forces killed five terrorists belonging to the Indian-backed Fitna al-Hindustan during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Panjgur district on August 10, the military’s media wing said on Tuesday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted as part of ongoing counterterrorism efforts to eliminate Indian-backed elements and restore lasting peace in the region.

A large cache of weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices was recovered from the site and subsequently destroyed, the ISPR said.

A clearance operation was also conducted in the area to eliminate any potential threats following the operation, it added.

The ISPR said security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue the counterterrorism campaign under the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision with full force to eliminate foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.

The military reiterated its resolve to continue operations against terrorist elements and their facilitators until the threat is eliminated.
