At least five Fitna Al Hindustan militants, including a key commander, were killed in an intelligence-based operation in the Sarkani and Chedgi areas of Panjgur, Balochistan, security sources said on Monday.
The operation was conducted as part of Operation Radd-ul-Fitna III, under which security forces are continuing targeted operations against militants across Balochistan.
According to security sources, the five militants, including the group’s commander Wazir, son of Jamal, were killed during the operation in Panjgur.
Four motorcycles, machine guns, heavy weapons and ammunition were also recovered from their possession.
The slain militants were involved in robberies, extortion, kidnappings and terrorist activities targeting local traders and other residents in Panjgur, the sources said.
A clearance operation is underway to eliminate any remaining Fitna Al Hindustan terrorists in the vicinity, the security sources said.
Security forces remain committed to eliminating militants associated with Fitna Al Hindustan from Balochistan, the sources added.
