Students of government colleges delivered a strong performance in the Intermediate result announced by the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) on Friday, with several securing top positions in the HSC Part-II Science Pre-Medical examination.

Sindh Education Minister Sardar Ali Shah congratulated the position holders from both government and private colleges.

He said the results reflected the quality of the education system in government colleges, the hard work of teachers, and the improving educational infrastructure in Sindh.

According to the official BIEK gazette, female students secured all three top positions, with the result declared at 4:00pm on Friday.

Hafsa Khan of BAMM P.E.C.H.S. Government College for Women topped the result with 1,011 out of 1,100 marks, a percentage of 91.90. Huda Sarwer, also from BAMM P.E.C.H.S. Government College for Women, secured second position with 1,007 marks and a percentage of 91.54. Third position went to Aamna Aziz of Bahria College Karsaz, who scored 1,004 marks.

A total of 23,613 candidates had registered for the examination, of whom 23,007 appeared. Of these, 14,134 passed, putting the overall pass percentage at 61.43. The successful candidates included 12,059 female students and 2,075 male students, while 2,255 candidates secured an A-1 grade.
