At least 10 terrorists were killed in separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted by security forces in Balochistan’s Surab and Mastung districts, the military’s media wing said on Wednesday.

Security forces also arrested two female suicide bombers and a facilitator linked to the India-backed Fitna Al Hindustan terrorist group.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were conducted on intelligence reports regarding the presence of militants in the two districts.

During the operation in Surab, security forces killed seven militants after an intense exchange of fire.

In a separate operation in Mastung, three more militants were killed, while two female suicide bombers and one facilitator were taken into custody.

The ISPR said the arrested suspects were affiliated with Fitna Al Hindustan.

Security forces also recovered a cache of weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from the militants during the operations.

The military said the operations were part of ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorism and dismantle militant networks operating in Balochistan.
