At least 19 terrorists were killed and several others injured during an intelligence-based operation against the Fitna Al Hindustan terrorist group on the N-25 highway in Balochistan, sources said on Wednesday.

The sources added that 11 security personnel were martyred in the operation.

According to security sources, the operation was carried out between Jhao Cross and Kararo along the N-25 highway.

The sources said the militants had set up roadblocks and were extorting money from travellers and local residents when security forces launched the operation.

The security sources said that 19 militants had been killed and several others wounded during the operation.

They added that 11 security personnel embraced martyrdom while fighting in defence of the country.
