The Karachi Water Corporation has launched a citywide operation against customers who have failed to pay outstanding water dues, disconnecting the water connections of several commercial and industrial establishments, Chief Commercial Officer Haris Sarfaraz said.

As part of the operation, water connections of several commercial and industrial establishments in Landhi Town Sector 28 were disconnected and their chambers sealed, Sarfaraz said.

The water connection of Fa Motors was disconnected over outstanding dues of more than 13.2 million rupees ($47,000), while the connection of Rajwani Denim Mills was disconnected for non-payment of about 27 million rupees, he said.
