The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested five people in Islamabad over their alleged involvement in a human organ trafficking network, sources said on Thursday.

The arrests were made during a raid in Sector F-7/1 of the federal capital.

According to sources, the suspects include three foreign nationals and two Pakistani citizens.

During the raid, authorities reportedly recovered various human organs and suspected human flesh from a house linked to the suspects.

The recovered material has been taken into custody and sent for forensic examination to determine its nature and origin, sources said.

Investigators believe the Pakistani suspects were assisting the foreign nationals in an alleged network involved in the supply and trafficking of human organs.

All five suspects have been moved to an undisclosed location for further interrogation.

The FIA is continuing its investigation and searching for other possible facilitators and accomplices linked to the alleged trafficking operation.

Officials have yet to release the results of the forensic examination or disclose further details about the suspected network.
