A 6.1 ​magnitude earthquake ‌struck off the coast ​of ​southern Italy in ⁠the ​early hours ​of Tuesday, the German Research ​Centre ​for Geosciences said.

The ‌quake ⁠was registered at a ​depth ​of ⁠253 kilometres, ​GFZ ​added.
