Magnitude 6.1 earthquake strikes off coast of southern Italy, GFZ says

A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of southern Italy in the early hours of Tuesday, the German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The quake was registered at a depth of 253 kilometres, GFZ added.
