Karachi police on Thursday arrested a man accused of managing the bank and online payment accounts of alleged drug dealer Anmol Pinky during an operation in the Gulistan-e-Johar area.

The suspect, identified as Zeeshan, has been taken into custody, and authorities have obtained details of his bank accounts and online payment apps.

Investigators said customers used to pay for drugs through an online app, and the funds were reportedly routed under the cover of mobile franchises and mobile balance transfers.

Payments and collections were facilitated through a franchise operated by Fayyaz Communications.

Sources said a joint investigation team continues to question the suspect to gather further information on the financial network behind the alleged drug trade.
