PSL to close with star-studded ceremony in Lahore

All is set for the final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), which will be played in Lahore today (Sunday), with Peshawar Zalmi and Hyderabad Kingsmen set to face off.

A colourful closing ceremony will be held to draw curtains on the tournament, featuring performances by some of the country’s leading artists, including Atif Aslam, Ali Zafar, Arif Lohar, Aima Baig, and the Sabri Sisters, who will entertain fans with live music and stage performances.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi ahead of the final.

During the meeting, the prime minister directed that all arrangements for the PSL final be ensured at the highest standard.

The PCB chairman has advised cricket fans to reach the stadium by 6pm to enjoy the grand closing ceremony.

For the first time in PSL history, the winning team will receive a prize of $500,000, equivalent to around 140 million Pakistani rupees.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, the runners-up will be awarded $200,000.

Moreover, the franchise that has made notable contributions to player development in the PSL will also receive a $200,000 prize.
