The Sindh government has announced strict measures against cheating in matriculation and intermediate examinations, including a lifetime ban on students found involved and dismissal of staff.
In a joint statement, Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards Muhammad Ismail Rahu and Sindh Education Minister Sardar Shah said a zero tolerance policy has been enforced.
They said any student caught cheating will have all exam papers cancelled and will not be allowed to appear in current or future board examinations.
Students found with mobile phones or cheating material will be immediately expelled from the examination process.
The ministers added that strict departmental action will be taken against invigilators, internal and external staff, or administrative officers involved in malpractice, including dismissal from service.
They also said surveillance at examination centres will be strengthened and any interference during exams will result in strict action.
