Abu Dhabi authorities suspended operations at the Habshan gas facilities after a fire broke out, officials said, adding that emergency teams were responding to debris that fell following successful air defence interceptions.

No injuries were reported at the Habshan site, according to the Abu Dhabi media office.

In a separate incident in the Ajban area, falling debris from intercepted threats injured 12 people. Authorities said six Nepalese and five Indian nationals sustained moderate injuries, while one Nepalese national was critically wounded.

The incidents come days after a similar episode on March 19, when the Habshan facility was temporarily shut following missile debris fallout.

No casualties were reported in that incident, though Abu Dhabi’s Bab oil field was also struck the same day.

The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs earlier condemned an Iranian attack targeting key energy infrastructure, including Habshan and the Bab field.
