Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar sustained a hairline fracture in his shoulder after stumbling during the reception of Egypt’s foreign minister in the federal capital, according to a family statement.
Details of the incident were shared by his son, Ali Dar, who said that medical examinations found no other complications and all reports were otherwise normal.
Despite the injury and discomfort, the foreign minister continued with his official responsibilities, completing key meetings and engagements, including talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, after taking pain medication.
The statement added that the fracture would be managed over the coming days through medication and precautionary care.
